The company was created in 2021 after KKR acquired 60% of Telefónica Chile's fixed network, with the goal of developing a wholesale, open and neutral fiber optic model available to the entire telecommunications industry. This model has been successful in expanding fiber coverage nationwide, bringing connectivity to urban centers as well as rural and remote areas, and supporting broader access for individuals, businesses, and institutions.

ON*NET Fibra Colombia began operations in January 2022, following an investment by KKR and Colombia Telecomunicaciones S.A. (Telefónica Colombia). It is the largest and fastest-growing fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) infrastructure provider in the country, committed to expanding connectivity for households, businesses, and institutions nationwide. The company enhances internet speed for end users while reinforcing a disruptive, neutral network model accessible to all telecom operators in Colombia.
Today, ON*NET Fibra Colombia's network reaches over 4.6 million homes across 92 cities and includes nearly 340 high-availability fiber optic rings in 26 cities. The company's fiber infrastructure spans approximately 35,000 kilometers.
